Project Introduction


Jiaolong Storage Roof is located in Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province and is a wholly-owned property of Jiangsu Jiaolong Industrial Investment Co., Ltd. The main structure of the factory building is made of all steel, and the roof is made of 760 type profiled steel plates with an area of 7600 square meters. During use, leakage occurred, and Haobang materials entered the construction site in early April 2024.

1) Laying and pasting
Determine the first roll laying position based on the plate shape of the on-site profiled steel plate. Due to the width of the butyl self-adhesive TPO waterproofing membrane being 2000mm, after calculation, the first membrane can be pasted along the valley and peak from the edge of the first valley of the profiled steel plate. The overlap position between the second membrane and the long edge of the first membrane can also be left at the plane of the valley of the second steel plate. Using this method to paste the coil, the overlapping edges of the long sides of the coil can be left at the trough position of the steel plate, which can improve the utilization rate of the automatic hot air welding machine, reduce manual welding, and improve construction efficiency.
Determine the position of the first roll, open the roll and lay it flat on the base surface to release the stress generated during the production and rewinding of the roll, in order to reduce the wrinkling phenomenon caused by the shrinkage of the roll after sticking. According to the on-site construction situation, the laying direction of the roll material should be parallel to the long side direction of the profiled steel plate, and the long side overlap should be kept as close as possible to the valley plane of the profiled steel plate. Roll the coil back along the long side, remove the isolation film on the back of one side of the coil, and paste the coil along the peaks and valleys to ensure that the coil is fully adhered to the profiled steel plate, avoiding hollowing and weak adhesion during the pasting process. The overlapping parts of the short edges of adjacent rolls should be staggered with a distance of no less than 300mm.

2) Compaction

When pasting the roll material, compact it with a pressure roller to ensure that the butyl self-adhesive layer is completely adhered to the profiled steel plate; After the large surface of the roll material is pasted and compacted, special tools are used to compact the concave corners on both sides of the valley to avoid hollowing of the roll material at the corners.

3) Welding
All the long edge overlapping parts of the butyl self-adhesive TPO roll are welded by a hot air welding machine, and the width of the long edge overlapping between the two rolls is 80mm. Before welding with the hot air welding machine, a trial welding is required to adjust the welding temperature and speed; After trial welding, cut the coil into small pieces for peeling testing. If there is cohesive failure between the coils, formal construction welding can be carried out. Before welding, the weld seam should be kept clean and free of contamination. If it has not been welded for a long time, it needs to be cleaned with a clean cloth and a special cleaning solvent (xylene, vinyl acetate). After the solvent evaporates, hot air welding can be carried out.

The short edge overlap of the coil is repaired and welded using homogeneous TPO coil and handheld welding machine, with a 20mm wide nozzle used in conjunction.

4) Main detailed node processing
① Ridge node processing
First, stick the self-adhesive TPO roll material on the ridge area, then weld the 200mm wide homogeneous TPO roll material to the self-adhesive TPO roll material on the ridge area. Cut the edge at the peak position, and finally repair and weld with the homogeneous TPO roll material.
② Sunroof node processing
The entire skylight facade is wrapped with homogeneous TPO roll material, fixed at the upper end with a closing pressure strip, and sealed with silicone weather resistant sealant; Weld the rolled down part to the large rolled material.
③ Tiangou Node Processing
The bottom and facade of the gutter are covered with TPO rolls, and the facade rolls are flipped up and welded to the large surface. The wave crest cutting area is repaired and welded with homogeneous TPO rolls.

④ Water outlet node processing
Weld the homogeneous TPO coil into a cylindrical shape and place it into the drain. Seal the lower end with silicone sealant, and weld the upturned part to the waterproof layer at the bottom of the gutter with hot air.
