Key points of roof construction


Before construction, check the roof base to ensure that there are no obvious protrusions or depressions on the base. Remove debris

and foreign objects to ensure that the installed vapor barrier is not damaged, and also sweep away accumulated water and snow to

avoid potential moisture hazards in the roof system in the future.


Construction of gas barrier layer


According to the specifications, a vapor barrier layer should be laid on the surface of the base layer. The overlap width of the left and

right PE films should be 10 cm, and the overlap direction should be parallel to the water. Special butyl tape should be used for bonding

and sealing, and then the upper and lower PE films should be firmly bonded with a pressure roller.


Construction of insulation layer


When installing rock wool insulation boards, they should be laid with staggered joints in the top, bottom, left, and right directions, with

tight and smooth overlapping to prevent through seams. They should also be fixed with specialized fasteners to ensure that the

insulation board has sufficient load-bearing area and reduce damage to the insulation board. The installation and covering of rock

wool insulation board should be carried out simultaneously to prevent water and moisture.


Waterproof layer construction


Step 1  Roll material laying: First, pre lay the naturally relaxed TPO waterproof roll material on the base layer according to the contour line, flat and straight, without distortion, and cut it appropriately. The laying direction of the coil should be perpendicular to the long side direction of the profiled steel plate; The overlapping joints parallel to the ridge should be overlapped in the direction of water flow, and the overlapping joints perpendicular to the ridge should be overlapped in the direction of the maximum annual frequency wind direction.


Step 2  Roll overlap: The longitudinal overlap width of the roll should be ≥ 120 mm, and point or line fixation can be carried out according to the situation. Point fixing: According to the design spacing, use a special tool to screw the fixing part into the peak of the profiled steel plate, penetrating the steel plate by 25 mm; Line fixing arranges the metal pressure strips reasonably, and uses an electric screwdriver to directly screw the fixing parts into the peak of the profiled steel plate, penetrating the steel plate by 25 mm.


Step 3  Coiled material welding: All overlaps of the coiled material are welded using hot air welding. Clean the welding area before welding, free of water spots, oil stains, and attachments; Test the welding temperature, welding machine speed, and blowing volume during welding, and inspect the quality of the weld seam after welding. The rolls laid on the same day should be welded as much as possible on the same day; For the interfaces left after daily construction, they should be protected from rain and moisture.
